Last night Utah’s State Legislature declared pornography a “public health crisis“. This is a major victory in the Movement aimed at protecting children from pornography, which is available to the younger generation in pandemic proportions. These efforts are not about censorship or banning pornography, but intended “to start a national movement to protect children from the harmful effects of looking at sexually explicit images“.
It is my optimistic hope that Utah’s leadership in this area would inspire the rest of our country (and world) to take seriously our children’s unprecedented access to pornography and its damaging effects on their brains, relationships, and worldview.
